I met Lalit Deshmukh through facebook. I saw a fine photo of Upper Tipsoo lake with the golds & reds bushes in the foreground & Mt Rainier in the setting sun in the background. It is a stunning photo. Then I went to Lalit's FB page & was so impressed with the remarkable simplicity of many photos, the softness he created with trees...I could continue with many more examples of his fine photography. I also viewed his exceptionally fine black & whites. I've been looking for someone who can help me advance my photography skills. I took a chance and asked if he does workshops..from there, we are now working together on Zoom with Photoshop techniques. I've had help in Photoshop from another professional instructor but no one has gone into the depth as Lalit. I find him to be the most skilled & knowledgeable instructor I have met. As a bonus, he is so very patient with a slow learner!”

My teenage daughter recently completed a Basic Photography course with Lalit. He worked hard to understand our kid's interest and her current level of understanding of photography before teaching her concepts like, composition, photography techniques, and using a DSLR camera for capturing various kinds of images.We found Lalit to be knowledgeable, easy to work with, and has a keen eye for detail. He has a genuine interest in teaching Photography and we find him to be an encouraging mentor post completion of the course as well..

I met Lalit about 10 years ago and we interacted over the scheduling of the Photography Workshops at the British Council, Pune Centre (then known as British Library). Lalit is quite a genius when it comes to Travel Photography and I really appreciate how he keeps improving his Art by visiting a variety of places like Ladakh; Colorado or Meghalaya. This agility in learning proves how committed he is to his Art. He is excellent at leading Workshops on all aspects of Photography like Fundamentals of Photography or photoshopping; etc. What I really admired about him is his flexible nature and comfort with all types of age groups! We always received excellent feedback from the participants & I remember how once we floated one Workshop but had to repeat it after 15 days as there were so many applicants. We will really miss him now that he has relocated to Seattle. Wish You the Best Lalit!

Seeking this opportunity to reinstate my experiences with a very versatile colleague ,Mr. lalit Deshmukh. From my acquaintance with him in 2015 till today I have come across various facets of Lalit. Our first meeting was initiated through a workshop conducted by him at our institute titled Photography and Architecture. His short interaction with the students soon crystallized in to a continuous mentoring activity to guide our students and to look in to the intangible aspects through the medium of camera . Across the four years of his continued association with our institute he has very meticulously framed the lesson plan for Photography as an Allied elective for Architecture. His plan details out the basics of the use of the medium : the camera , selection of themes for photography, the basics of composition and all the inherent technical details involved within the subject. Lalit has been very instrumental in bringing forth the idea of the story board through photography which helped the students to discover the various dimensions of human life ,society and environment. Some of the story boards imbibed the notions of human emotions, state of existence too. Knowing him as a wonderful teacher and a good friend with his strong social bearing and commitment to social cause is truly admirable. Hoping and wishing him to continue the same throughout the coming years……..

"I met Lalit during his first photography workshops conducted at The British Library. It was my second initiation to photography, having briefly flirted with film cameras in my childhood. It was a class full different types of individuals and Lalit patiently answered all the juvenile questions and satisfied everyone. I subsequently joined his inaugural Ladakh photography tour where I learnt the nuances of landscape photography. He mentored me and I did a few more tours with him. Meanwhile, my photography skills were improving but it was not possible to join Lalit for each and every tour of his, and I came up with an idea of starting a photography portal (www.pixlent.com) which he agreed to mentor. The idea was to enable enthusiastic amateurs like me to get their photos reviewed by experts like Lalit for a small fee. He gave us invaluable tips and suggestions for the project which helped us to deliver a winning idea. I highly recommend him as an accomplished photography guide and mentor. Not just that, he is an awesome human being too!"

Been on 2 expeditions and a classroom session with Lalit sir over the past 1yr. Never will I find a more fun way of learning, traveling and experiencing photography than the way the impressions team does it. Lalit sir is one of the most remarkable people I've met.
