Kaziranga-Nameri-Manas

At the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, lies these vast plains of Assam. The Mighty Brahmaputra river and her tributaries have made this region one of the most fertile grassland regions. While Manas sits at the border with Bhutan, and Nameri shares the border with the easternmost state of India, Kaziranga is in the flood plains. While Rhino shines in Kaziranga, and a clouded leopard in Nameri, all these national parks are the habitats for elephants, wild buffaloes, and the Royal Bengal Tiger. Be amazed to see the elephants take bath in the river in Nameri and watch the rhinos emerge out of the tall elephant grass and the herd of wild buffaloes run across the plains. The colorful geckos could be camouflaged against the tree bark and giant squirrels could be skipping over the tree branches easily. Look for jumping white spiders in the bushes nearby, or myriad colorful butterflies congregated on the moist ground. In Nameri, you walk in a jungle, a rarity.. with an armed forest guide for your safety. If you think the lands are so occupied then do not hesitate to look up, varieties of birds could be flying right above you including great pied hornbills, woodpeckers, and also different kinds of eagles. With so much endemic wildlife, Kaziranga, Nameri, and Manas are the real Edens on earth!

Testimonials

In April 2016, i got an opportunity to join Team Impressions for the Wild Assam Tour. My favourite photographer and guide Mr. Lalit Deshmukh sir was leading the tour. We covered Kaziranga National Park, Nameri National Park and Manas National Park. Every part of the trip was well organised, starting from stay, food, safari, local travel. We encountered various wildlife including the endangered and endemic and Lalit sir guided us to take amazing shots of them. He personally guided everyone and helped us frame the wildlife and made the trip a big success, sightings wise and photography wise. Our trip was planned during the Bihu season and we also got to witness the local culture. We explored local markets and visited local houses. I remember purchasing a beautiful handmade dress and a saree for my mom. I am happy to share that two of my photographs I clicked during the trip got selected for a photography competition and one photograph won me second prize. Thank you Lalit sir for organising this tour, i will be forever grateful.
